The project seeks to strengthen wildlife conservation in Pakistan by reducing poaching , trade and trafficking of wildlife and has three main components: 1) Strengthen regulatory frameworks and inter-agency coordination to address poaching and illegal wildlife trade: supporting a wildlife crime and trade monitoring network at the national level, and establishing a database to collect actionable IWT trade information; 2) Build institutional capacities and establish facilities to detect, prevent, and control wildlife crime; and 3) Reduce poaching and illegal trade of key wildlife species by at least 50% in 5 priority sites: utilization of tools like SMART and Safe Systems Approach and First Line of Defense
