A project to advance the EU and Indonesia’s engagement in the context of CITES, protecting non-CITES listed species nevertheless threatened by overexploitation. Specific outputs aim to 1) Enhance the basis for the EU-Indonesia policy dialogue on biodiversity protection and sustainable wildlife trade; 2) Improve the understanding on management and monitoring priority species in line with the CITES regulations among Indonesian stakeholders; 3) Improved the understanding on enforcement for detection and combatting of IWT among Indonesian stakeholders; and 4) Increase awareness among stakeholders in Indonesia about the importance of biodiversity protection and the risks of wildlife trafficking.
